1. Introduction:

• Welcome to Align Navigation for iPhone and Apple Watch.  It is a navigation app that automatically rotates the display with your hand movements to provide less distracted driving experience.

2. Getting Started:

• To get started, install the app on both your phone and watch.  Make sure your watch is connected to your phone with bluetooth.  For best experience make sure you have good signal or wi-fi during your navigation route.

3. Calibrating Your Watch & Auto-Rotation​

• When you first open the app on your watch, you will be presented with a calibration graphic.  Place your hand in the desired driving position on your steering wheel, bike handle, etc, and then use the digital bezel to rotate the graphic so it is aligned with your view at that hand position.

• After you click go, your calibration data will be saved and the app will dynamically adjust when you move your hand.​

4. Entering Destination:

• To enter a destination, open the app on your phone.  Type your desired destination on the search bar, and then click return.  A list of directions will appear.  Click start route to start turn-by-turn navigation.  When you open the app on your watch, it will automatically be synced to your phone navigation.​

5. Navigation Views on Watch:

• There are 4 main views for navigation on the watch.  Please swipe through the screen on the watch to access different views.

  • Map + Text Combined

  • Map Only

  • Text Only

  • Map + Text Combined (non-rotated view)​

 

6. Manual Screen Rotation:

• To enable manual screen rotation:

  • Swipe to the last tab on your watch

  • Un-check "Auto-Rotation"

  • Use digital bezel to rotate graphic to desired rotation position

  • Click save

  • Swipe back to main views and your screen will be rotated to the
